Not a Nora, Nezumi -- Pt 1
You knew from the beginning that Yato had killed someone. It was in the way he held himself: a countenance that struggled to hold a burden made from cement blocks. It was in his words: a vibration of repressed pain that echoed throughout each and every thought escaping his chapped lips. Most of all, however, it was in his eyes: a slight narrow whenever he'd think of the past and a strong effort to keep the misery from their depths.
You had never said a word about knowing this; you didn't want the subject to come up. You didn't know if you could handle hearing the truth out loud.
"y/n-chan," your friend muttered from behind. You fought the u

For Alvin Lovers: Thief of Thieves
You weren’t an evil thief! You were an honest one, a female Robin Hood, if you will. You stole from those who stole from others…a thief of thieves.
Anyway.
That night had been a bad one. You’d attempted to hold off the bounty hunters off by dodging left and right through the city streets. However, there was no chance that you’d escape; there were three of them (that you could see) and one of you.
The thugs had you cornered now. You hid your face beneath your cloak; you wouldn’t let them see your fear or pain. Your back was pushed against the dead-end. Your fingers curled hard over the bag.
“We

Vanitas had become extra attentive as of late. Since announcing your engagement, your father started encouraging him to be with you as much as possible. Terra was always a 3rd wheel when your fiance came around and it made you feel terribly guilty.
So, today, you wanted to make time for your bodyguard. When you saw Vanitas rounding the corner, you decided to sprint in the other direction. It only took seconds to lose him. But you kept going, trying to remember where Terra said he was going. At last, your feet came to Eraqus’ door. He would surely know where your guard was. You rose a hand to knock on the door when mumbling caugh

The Sultan called you into the throne room some time later, wishing to have you stand before him rather than sit at his side. Eraqus sat in another throne beside him while his students stood near the doors behind you. You gave your father a confused expression.
“My child,” the man began, folding his hands in front of his chest. “There is a matter we must discuss.”
“What is it, father?”
“You will soon be of age and we need to make a decision about your marital status.”
“Mar...marriage?” You knew very few men in your life--let alone a suitor to wed. Wasn’t it a little

UPDATED: I'VE ADDED MORE TO THE CHAPTER.
Three months later…
You attempted to focus on your studies, but kept glaring at the guard beside your desk. Terra had been staring thoughtfully out of the window. However, he turned to you as he felt your gaze burn into his face.
“What?” He asked curiously. Your lips tilted down.
“It’s hard to concentrate when you’re here,” you said.
“Oh, sorry.” He pushed himself off of the wall. “I’ll wait outside, then. Holler if you need me.” When the door closed behind him, you breathed a sigh of relief and pushed your book a

“Your Majesty,” the Unversed guard came. Since your father had given voices Vanitas’s creations, you’d grown nothing but exhausted of the creatures. “The Sultan requires your presence.”
“Very well,” you muttered, attempting to keep your voice elegant and leveled. You were turning 18 this year, and needed to show that you were adult enough to someday rule your country. You attempted to glide your way down the halls of the palace--though you knew that it looked more like a faulty waddle. Still, you did your best before the servant and it only gave you praise as it dropped you off before y

Life had nearly gone back to normal. The holidays were approaching and you were struggling to finish all of your assignments before the fall semester ended. You had little time to think of Lea or Isa as you threw your mind into cram-sessions for your finals. The chilly weather outside was avoided by furious notetaking in the safety of your bed covers. Larxene acted as though nothing had happened at the Lucky XIII and left you to your studies as she scribbled in her own notebooks. You felt like you should’ve been furious with her, that you should’ve disbanded from what little friendship you had entirely, but there was just no t

You wanted to sleep through the next day. Your head was pounding and no amount of potion was going to fix it. So, you remained hidden beneath your covers. Your stomach was still upset with you and more than once, you wanted to rise to bolt to the restroom. However, you battled through it without blowing anymore chunks. What may have helped is that you didn’t eat or drink anything, despite someone nagging you to swallow cup fulls of water every few hours.
Finally, after some time to heal, your body felt just well enough to sit up. You heard the static from your hair and pillow’s dance as you lifted your head and took a vie

Larxene ordered you something that sounded exotic...and also made up. As you examined the rest of the world around you, you wondered how much the place had cost. The walls were old and cracked with holes (that looked to have been created by sledgehammers). The ceiling was drooping over you, threatening to collapse. The lighting was dim with strange light bulbs, turning the room purple. A low, stylish tune slithered across the floor. Everything was so calm, yet the 6 visitors meandering about were dancing with vicious energy.
“How do you like the place?” Larxene asked.
“It’s cool,” you muttered. In t
